Western Lane Community Foundation currently administers 15
scholarship programs. Most scholarships are awarded annually, and
are available to graduating seniors from Siuslaw and Mapleton High
Schools.

Applications for all available scholarships are availble at the
counseling offices at Siuslaw and Mapleton High Schools.

Scholarships are available for traditional four year colleges as well
as community colleges and approved trade schools. While
academic achievement is one criteria used in determining
recipients, several of the scholarships are directed toward students
in particular fields of education or with other qualifying
characteristics.

The scholarships available and their criteria are listed below:

Justin Black Scholarship Fund: For area graduates attending Lane
Community College

Cocciolo Family Scholarship Fund: Scholarship for Graduates of
Siuslaw High for Community College or trade/vocational school.

Delta Gamma Sorority Fund: This scholarships is administered and
awarded by Delta Gamma Sorority

Noel and Mary Dobyns Scholarship Fund: Scholarship for University-
bound Siuslaw High School graduates.

Siuslaw Valley Bank A.E. "Pony" Ellingson Fund: Scholarships for
Mapleton and Siuslaw High School graduates.

Pearl and Joe Ellingson Scholarship Fund: Scholarship for Mapleton
High graduates.

Larry and Florence Englund Scholarship Fund: Scholarship for
Mapleton or Siuslaw High graduates wishing to pursue a career in
the automotive field.

N. Judd Huntington Scholarship Fund: Scholarship for Mapleton &
Siuslaw High graduates.

Hal and Lee Hylton Memorial Fund: Scholarship for Siuslaw High
School graduates.

Johnston Family Scholarship Fund: Not yet defined.

Koning-Cooper Family Fund: Scholarship for Siuslaw High School
graduates.

"Electrical" Willard Myers Scholarship Fund: Scholarship for student
in the electrical field.

Joan Orr Scholarship Fund: Two scholarships annually to local
students.

Jack and Bobbie Saubert Scholarship Fund: Four-year Scholarship
for Siuslaw High graduates.

Elmer Waite Memorial Scholarship Fund: Scholarship for Siuslaw
High graduates.

Richard and Barbara Whitmore Scholarship Fund: Scholarship for
local student.
