Western Lane Community Foundation is able to pursue its mission to improve
life in Western Lane County through the generous contributions of individuals,
families, businesses and other organizations throughout our community.
Gifts, both large and small are prudently invested and judiciously distributed
according to the wishes of the donor.

As a 501(c)(3) qualified community foundation, donations to WLCF not only
foster education, self-sufficency and prosperity in the community, but provide
a tax benefit to the donor. WLCF has a 35 year proven history as a
responsible fiduciary of the funds under its management.

Why Western Lane Community Foundation?

There is unique added value to working with the Western Lane Community
Foundation.:

We are local. Assets stay in the community. While our investment returns
are comparable to other financial institutions, we are a locally sustained
nonprofit existing solely for the benefit of improving life in western Lane
County .

We make a permanent difference. Gifts to the WLCF can continue
working long into the future. WLCF was built to last. Donors can feel secure
that our board, volunteers, investments, and mission are organized to
strengthen our community in perpetuity.

We know philanthropy in western Lane County. We offer donors help in
identifying effective ways to aid the community they call home. We can help
you direct your giving to target specific problems (e.g. hunger, literacy, saving
the environment, or the state of the arts).

efficient or feasible to establish a scholarship program or private foundation. We are able to accept a variety of
assets, support multiple organizations through one fund, and help donors to leave a legacy.

WLCF welcomes contributions of all sizes. Individuals may wish to make a one-time contribution in memory of a
loved one, a community member, a beloved pet, or just because they are feeling fortunate and wish to share.

Additionally, making WLCF a part of your estate plan is a secure and effective means of leaving a legacy to the
community you have enjoyed. All gifts, whether small or large, may be designated for specific purposes or
organizaitons within the community or may be left unrestricted to be disseminated at the discretion of the Board of
Directors as part of its annual giving program.

A review of our Funds will give you an idea of the breadth of issues that our past donors have dedicated funds to.
WLCF scrupulously follows the donors wishes in distribution of the funds. If a particular agency has been designated
and has gone out of business subsequent to the donation, WLCF will distribute the funds to agencies and grant
applicants who provide services most similar to the intent of the donor.
